Lupara for Compatriot snowboards

The Lupara shape is a signature Compatriot model. Its name is taken from the Italian slang term for a sawed-off shotgun.

In a moment of serendipity we were looking at a ton of mid-century Italian design when this project came along so we illustrated a lupara using a vintage half-tone effect (though ours was actually a time-consuming drawing by Joshua) that had been used in a portrait by the incredible Italian modernist designer and artist Franco Grignani. Classic color palette and Helvetica Bold for that International Style feel.
