A personal favorite in the Landland oeuvre. Dan Black’s rickety structure could be a lot of things: a treehouse for grownups, a shack turned mansion, or worker housing structure built right into a mining operation.

  • Signed and numbered edition of 100.

A strange vision from Landland’s Jes Seamens for a strange artist: Daniel Higgs of Lungfish. Layered, psychedelic painting with the artists names disappearing into palm lines.

Raw, sketchy poster with a minimalist edge and a surprising amount of detail hiding on the surface by Dan Black.

Another all-time favorite Landland image and kind of an anomaly in their body of work. Jes Seamans’ watercolor painting is flipped and printed on top of itself creating another layer of wash and just enough confusion to be unsettling. Like looking through a broken viewfinder. Its also a nice representation of Growing’s layered, refractory drone music.

  • 6-color screenprint on 100# French cover stock.

  • Signed and numbered edition of 47.

Why? and Deerhoof, 6/26/10 at First Avenue, Minneapolis screenprint

One of the amazing things about Landland’s work is the diversity of content. The volume of work completed, especially when this poster was made back in 2010 has meant that they’ve needed to dig far and wide for things to draw. In this instance that unusual source was Minneapolis’ Bohemian Flats park on the Mississippi River where the wreckage of the I-35 bridge collapse was stored and sorted for investigators.

Skoal Kodiak 11/2010 at Art of This Gallery, Minneapolis

Really nice weird format print by Jes Seamans. More “graphic design-y” than painterly with the isolated drawings, overlay of color and label-looking thing.

  • 19.5 x 19.5”, 3-color screenprint on 80# Cougar cover stock.

  • Not signed or numbered, edition of approximately 30.

OG format Landland print (25 x 19 sheet cut into thirds) by Jes Seamans (who also played in Best Friends Forever). Killer psychedelic drawing of feather clouds and flying chairs and barely-there typography.
